SCHAUMBURG, IL - SEPTEMBER 22, 2010 - The Academy SC today announced that Next Wave Athletics (www.nextwaveathletics) has been named at the club's strength, speed and agility provider for the 2010-11 season.

"We are very happy to be able to augment our program with a component that emphasizes speed, strength and agility," said Academy Director and head coach Peter Glon.  "Not only is it a specialized and important part of our student-athlete's soccer development, it is also crucial from an injury-prevention point-of-view."

Training sessions are conducted at Woodland Meadows Park in Elk Grove, IL on Saturdays during the fall season.  "The Academy SC program aligns itself nicely with the fundamentals of our program," said Next Wave technical director Jon Davit. "We create high intensity sessions that are fun, competitive, and accompanied with positive reinforcement and constant consolidation. This creates what we believe is an ideal learning environment where players can push themselves and fulfill their ultimate soccer potential."
