The Academy SC and Jiangsu SC of China have announced an exclusive agreement which will allow each club to mutually gain cultural insights through the open exchange of training, competitive and development initiatives for both players and coaches.
The Chinese Football Association (CFA), which is the governing body that controls all of soccer in China, assigned the Academy SC as the formal partner club of Jiangsu FC. Jiangsu is the primary female soccer club in China that provides players for the Chinese National Team and the Chinese national youth teams.
"We are extremely grateful to the CFA and Jiangsu FC, and also pleased to announce this partnership," said Academy Director and head coach Peter Glon. "This type of partnership will prepare our student-athletes in a format exclusive and innovative as any in the United States for female soccer."
"Our student-athletes now have a wonderful opportunity to learn and develop themselves for future endeavors - not just within the context of soccer - but also through education, cultural exchange and community impact," added Glon.
The Jiang Ning Soccer Training Base boasts nine soccer fields and a 3,500 square foot indoor training facility. Residential accommodations include 80 standard rooms and three suites - each with internet access, telephone, air conditioning, cable TV and showers in each room. With the ongoing development of these facilities, this training base is designated for women's training by the CFA.
